Various local performing artists based in Binangonan, Rizal will converge in an afternoon full of songs and music on Aug. 12 to celebrate International Youth Day.

Municipal Administrator Russel Ynares said the Ynares Plaza, the town’s covered court beside the Saint Ursula Parish Church, is expected to be filled with members of the Sangguniang Kabataan in the municipality, and the town’s younger generation to watch the free performances of various show bands, singers, and rap music artists.

Ynares said the concert, which will start at 2 p.m on Aug. 12, will feature bands such as New Direction and Android 18. Other performers include Ben of Roomies, Jan C Beats, Miguel, Audio 5, Last Song Bea, Lightyears, Sons of Man, Patient Zero, Trip to Mars, Ots, Dream Sausage, Headtrip, Anonuevo, and Early Harvest.

The event, which aims to highlight the talents of local artists, is being presented jointly by Sangguniang Kabataan Federation of Binangonan, Binangonan Scholarship Office,Gitarniko Lights Sounds and LED wall Rental, WKND, Binangonan Action Center-Volunteer Groups, Taga Rizal Update, All Binangonan Artists Association and the municipal government of Binangonan.

Earlier in the week, residents joined a fun run organized by the local government’s Gender and Development Office as part of the observance of the Linggo ng Kabataan this week.
