Billiards: Biado, 5 other Pinoys still unbeaten in Abu Dhabi Open

Six Filipino cue artists, led by reigning U.S. Open champion Carlo Biado, remained unbeaten after two games in the Abu Dhabi Open 9-Ball Championship.

Biado raced to a 5-0 lead before countryman Arnel Bautista could get on the board. The deficit proved too much for Bautista, although he got to within two racks, 8-6, before Biado claimed the 9-7 triumph.Joining Biado in the next round were Roland Garcia, Arman Cagol, Jhay Miranda, Israel Rota and Harry Vergara.

Duterte calls vaccinated Pinoys 'heroes', but what about the unvaccinated?Filipinos who have been vaccinated against COVID-19 are “heroes” as far as President Duterte is concerned. Anti progress. Nakatulog na ba itong si Lolo? Bangag pa yata. Only 40% of the total Philippine populaion is vaccinated. Hindi iboboto ang partido mo nung mga nasa 60% unvaccinated excluding the children & teenagers who are non-voters For me getting vaccinated, given that vaccine is available, is a duty & a responsibility. Heroic if you are doing something extraordinary, but getting a vaccine is just doing what is obviously right. But I don't mind being called a hero as well 😁
