A Bureau of Immigration (BI) official has received recognition from the Department of Tourism (DOT) for his efforts in streamlining travel requirements through a paperless system. ManilaBulletin

During the dissemination forum for the 2022 Philippine Tourism Industry Performance and Tourism Satellite Accounts, Jose Dennis Javier was commended for his role in developing the eTravel system. The forum took place at the Philippine International Convention Center in Pasay City.

Javier is the BI technical assistant for border control operations and chairperson of the eTravel sub-technical working group, He showcased the eTravel system, which was launched earlier this year and now serves as the unified platform for collecting data on arriving and departing passengers.
