THE Bureau of Fisheries and Aquatic Resources on Friday announced a moratorium on the crackdown of sellers of imported fish in local markets scheduled on Dec. 4, 2022.

'Taking into account the recommendation from fisheries stakeholders and some lawmakers, the Department of Agriculture-BFAR is declaring a moratorium in its operations in wet markets with regard to the present of diverted imported pink salmon, pampano, and other frozen fish products, effective immediately,' Officer in Charge Demosthenes Escoto said.
