Sinabi ng Health Department na hindi nawawala ang posibilidad na makapasok sa Pilipinas ang Delta variant.

MAYNILA—Pinaghahanda na ng Department of Health ang mga pampubliko at pribadong hospital sa posibleng paglobo ng kaso ng COVID-19 dahil sa Delta variant.

"In fact, we have mandated private hospitals to at least have an allocated beds of . . . 20 percent, and for a possible surge, if they can possibly move towards 30 percent. Una nang sinabi ng ahensiya na hindi nawawala ang posibilidad na makapasok sa Pilipinas ang Delta variant, na ngayo'y kalat na sa maraming bansa. Ramdam ngayon ang matinding epekto ng Delta variant sa Malaysia at Indonesia.

"Since last year, we have already doubled up our intensive care units both in the public and private, totaling to almost 1,800. Before it was just 700 plus," aniya.
