Bea Alonzo’s lawyer says actress was ‘greatly devastated, affected' by 'defamatory' statements against her

Bea Alonzo's legal counsel, Atty. Joey Garcia, said that the actress was heavily affected by the statements made against her by showbiz columnists and online hosts Cristy Fermin and Ogie Diaz, along with their co-hosts in their respective online programs.In Nelson Canlas' report on "24 Oras," Thursday, the lawyer said, "For the record, this is the very first time that Bea is doing this.

Garcia said that Bea asserted her right to proceed with this filing of criminal cases against the respondents who are "responsible for making all of these damaging statements against her."Bea filed three separate criminal cases for cyber libel at the Quezon City Prosecutors Office against the respondents on Thursday. She also filed a complaint against an online basher who is pretending to be close to her.
