MANILA, Philippines: The Philippine Embassy in Beirut cautioned Filipinos in Lebanon to be vigilant amid recent Israeli airstrikes in eastern Lebanon.

The embassy in an advisory posted on Facebook last March 27 said that the safety of Filipinos is its 'utmost priority' and it is closely monitoring the situation.On March 26, the Israeli army fired machine guns at residential neighborhoods in the village of Kfar Kila and the outskirts of Odaisseh, both located in the Marjayoun district.

AFP PHOTOThe Filipinos were urged to 'adhere to any advisories or instructions issued by local authorities and stay informed about the situation through credible news sources.''It is essential to avoid areas where there is ongoing violence or military activity and to take necessary precautions to ensure your safety and well-being,' the embassy said.
