Bataan Rep. Albert Garcia and Vice Governor Cris Garcia welcomed delegates from Linhai Industrial Park, an industrial hub based in Kaohsiung, and discussed investment opportunities in the province.
The Linhai Industrial Park consists of several heavy industries like steel production, petrochemical complex, and fuel production, according to the provincial information office. Abul Khayr Alonto II and Benjamin Co of Bataan Public Private Partnership and Investment Center presented the advantages and opportunities in investing in the province, citing upcoming big-ticket projects such as the Bataan-Cavite Interlink Bridge and the Bataan Transshipment Hub.
Bataan Peninsula State University President Ruby Matibag, Vice President for Research, Extension, and Training Services Monica Hipolito, and IT-TBM Director Dr. John Ryan Dizon also held presentation for possible projects with the Taiwanese guests.Peter Chao Hsien Lai, chairman of the manufacturing association of Linhai Industrial Park, said they wish they had visited the Philippines earlier and expressed his group’s willingness to explore the province more, said the report.
