Baste Duterte withdraws from Davao vice mayor race

Davao City Vice Mayor and presidential son Sebastian"Baste" Duterte on Tuesday said he has withdrawn his candidacy for reelection.

The vice mayor previously explained that he decided to run again in 2022 because he would like to follow through with his work in the city.Sebastian's older brother Paolo is running for congressman, while his sister Sara Duterte-Carpio is seeking reelection as Davao City mayor. Meanwhile, their father President Rodrigo Duterte is reportedly considering a Senate bid despite announcing he will retire from politics.
