BAGUIO CITY — The award was presented by the Cordillera Regional Police Office headed by its regional director in Brigadier General Ronald Oliver Lee in a simple ceremony on June 27 at Camp Bado Dangwa, La Trinidad, Benguet.
High on the list of the Philippine National Police personnel awardees was City Director Col. Glenn Lonogan who received the Medal ng Kasanayan in recognition of duty and public-service. A similar award was also given to Lt/Col. Roldan Cabatan, chief of the Traffic Enforcement Unit; Lt/Col. Renny Lizardo, Force Commander of the City Mobile Force Company; Maj. Dencio Dayao, station commander of Police Station-1; Maj. Roger Kurt Pacificar, station commander of PS 7; PEMS Jaime Abrera of PS 2; PEMS Alfredo Lomerez of PS 3; PEMS Gerry Rigos of PS 4; PEMS Noel Julaton of PS 5; PEMS Mayo Goyo of PS 8; PEMS Dominador Santos of PS 10; PEMS Charles K Cawaen, Jr.
The BCPO was specially cited by the PNP Officer-In-Charge, Lt. Gen. Vicente Danao, Jr., stating that the police visibility implemented in Baguio City should be emulated by all local police units. Their presence in all areas of road construction to manage traffic, in parks, tourist spots and convergence areas during the implementation of ‘Oplan Tambuli,’ the continuous patrolling of the streets and roads while enforcing the Anti-Road Obstruction Ordinance even under extreme weather reflect the true essence and best example of Police Visibility.
