Police have arrested a Marine who has gone absent without leave or AWOL after he tried but failed to rob a spa in Trece Martires, Cavite after the establishment's staff noticed that what he had was a toy gun.
According to a report on "State of the Nation", a spa attendant hit him with a baseball bat during the alleged robbery attempt. The suspect was also caught on CCTV successfully robbing a dental clinic in Dasamariñas City two weeks before the incident at the spa. The suspect owned up to the crimes, saying he only needed cash so he could send support for his child.
