Secretary Isidro Lapeña received a Plaque of Recognition from the association of Technical Education and Skills Development Authority schools and institutions on June 17 during the agency’s two-day 17th General Directorate Conference held in Clark, Pampanga.The National Association of TESDA Technology Institutions gave the recognition to Lapeña for his initiatives and programs in advancing technical vocational education and training in the country.

He was also recognized for establishing regional and provincial training centers that resulted in higher absorption capacity, better delivery of TVET and making TVET more inclusive across the country. It can be recalled that as a result of his visit to TESDA field offices, Lapeña made the establishment of training centers in every province a priority. Since his assumption, 63 additional training centers have been established nationwide.
