Eight Filipino bowlers will represent the Philippines in the 30th Southeast Asian Games.

One of them, Merwin Tan is expected to lead and step up for the Philippine bowling team.

Tan, who bagged the singles title in the 20th Asian Youth Tenpin Bowling Championships last April, will be joined by Ken Chua, Frederick Ong, Patrick Nuqui, Liza del Rosario, Lara Posadas-Wong, Alexis Sy and Bea Hernandez.Philippine bowling team head coach Biboy told ABS-CBN Sports that there is more pressure when playing in front of a home crowd.“You have to win with lots of expectations. These are the unnecessary baggage our players are carrying.
