Comelec Spokesman James Jimenez said a Comelec resolution provided that the one-year ban on losing candidates does not apply to party-list nominees.
"Baka naunahan ko lang ng banggit. Baka merong mga changes that I might have not been informed of yet but as of now, ang position ng Comelec, based on published utterances ng Comelec, 'yung na-promulgate na, 'yun na nga, hindi siya covered," Jimenez added. "Looking at the law itself, the law does not make specific mention of the party-list so we're going by the nature of the party-list system. And again, by the nature of the party-list system, napapalitan po 'yan. They don't run on their own account," he explained.
Uson was among the celebrities that heavily campaigned for Duterte in 2016. She was later appointed communications assistant secretary in May 2017 but resigned last year after a string of gaffes and controversies.

Iyak yellows haha
If true, then it's about time the ban should be revised by law
Has there been any PL appointed to a government position None!! In a nut shell, it's its nominees!!
very good law
is the doctrine in abayon/palparan v hret already abandoned? the SC ruled there that “xxx from the Constitution’s point of view, it is the party-list representatives who are 'elected' into office, not their parties or organizations.” 🤔
Isn't this stupid? What roles can a losing party list take part is government
Lol at them trying to justify Mocha’s appointment 🙄 today was supposed to be her oathtaking at DOLE but instead she gave a no show. Talk about justifications, she doesn’t even deserve this position. 😒
This is stupid. Partylist is a organization not an individual.
