The Office of Consular Affairs (OCA) of the Department of Foreign Affairs (DFA) on Wednesday advised applicants affected by the closure of some consular offices (COs) on December 17 due to Typhoon Odette that they will be contacted for the rescheduling of their appointments.

In a statement, the DFA-OCA said the consular office and the Temporary Off-Site Passport Services in Cebu will remain closed until December 24 as the department awaits the restoration of network connection and sufficient power to continue their operations.

The following COs in Visayas and Mindanao, meanwhile, have resumed operations, but will only cater applicants scheduled from December 21.
