After a three-week $15,000 tennis tour at the Rafael Nadal Academy in Spain, Alex Eala is still not finished with her pro tournament campaigns.
Eala was given a slot through the International Tennis Federation junior player exempt program, where the top-ranked juniors players are allotted a number of pro tournament spots within the year. As she levels up to a $25,000 tournament, the Filipina tennis ace will be going up against players who are in the top 100 to 200 of Women's Tennis Association rankings.
In the opening round, she scored a win over British player Francesca Jones, who has reached the main draw of the 2021 Australian Open after 3 victories in the qualifying draw held in Dubai.from the first leg of the RNA World Tennis Tour with a victory over 28-year-old Yvonne Cavalle-Reimers.
