MANILA- The province of Albay and the city of Zamboanga will be included in areas under enhanced community quarantine until May 15, Malacañang announced Monday.
President Rodrigo Duterte approved the recommendation of the government's pandemic task force to extend the lockdown in the 2 areas, Executive Secretary Salvador Medialdea said in a memorandum dated May 2. Earlier, local officials in the two areas requested continued enforcement of the strict lockdown there as cases of the coronavirus disease 2019 were still being reported.- Central Luzon except Aurora province- AlbayAs of Monday, the Philippines has a confirmed 9,485 cases of COVID-19. This includes 623 deaths, and 1,315 recoveries.
