MANILA, Philippines: Rookie Angge Poyos has been a powerhouse scorer for the UST Golden Tigresses in the UAAP Season 86 women's volleyball tournament.Poyos' swinging ways reached a new high after she reset her career-best to 26 points in the Golden Tigresses' 25-19, 25-16, 25-19 at the Mall of Asia Arena on Saturday, March 9.The 20-year-old Poyos, who logged 21 attacks, three service aces, and two blocks, said that she simply just wanted to contribute on both ends of the court.

Poyos scored that many points twice, one against the UE Lady Warriors and one against the FEU Tamaraws.While her scoring capability is undeniable, Poyos pointed out that she still needs to improve especially in her passing.'I still have a lot to improve on, especially in passing. As coach pointed out, I need to improve in passing. It will start with training and with the help of our coaches, I know I can do it.
