AFP dismisses change of command rumors in WesCom

The Armed Forces of the Philippines on Tuesday dismissed replacement rumors within Western Command .

“He filed for a leave, the issue has no connection to the new model, It has nothing to do with the issue, it was coincidental,” Padilla said in a text message. Naval Education, Training and Doctrine Center chief, Rear Admiral Alfonso Torres is currently acting WesCom chief.Padilla also said that the duration of the personal leave of Carlos was not specified when he submitted his request.
