Advertising companies in the country expressed alarm over the abrupt shutdown of media giant ABS-CBN.
Raymond Arrastia, chairman of Publicis Groupe Philippines, said they were caught off guard by the cease and desist order of the National Telecommunications Commission against the Lopez family-owned broadcast network on Wednesday. Nevertheless, he pointed out that ABS-CBN’s other platforms like cable, digital, and social media can also be utilized as an alternative for the advertisers to place their ads.
Although there are other media companies that advertisers can forge partnerships with, the CreatiVilla chairman stressed the absence of ABS-CBN is not good for the advertising industry.
Fear is the failure of imagination, as JL Picard said. Radio is dominant here, so look for AM radio as a possible solution. There is always someone else who will fill the gap.
Guys, take it as a challenge. Dyan makikita ang galing nyo. If you are agile enough, you can surmount this setback.
For the record limited air time lang per ad so malamang di pwede kunin ng gma lahat or any network. Ito ung sinasabi q na di lang abs ang magkaproblema kundi pati mga suppliers abd etc...
