Defining the News

Thursday evenings this whole month of April are barbecue nights to look forward to at City of Dreams Manila’s Wave poolside restaurant where popular Filipino street food and iconic contemporary fare take center stage from sundown until 9 p.m.

Live soothing performances on alternating Thursdays from acoustic pairs Philip Arabit and Cindy Honra, and Michelle Ayalde and Josh Braganza transform the contemporary poolside restaurant and bar into a chic and cool spot located next to Nobu Hotel’s infinity lap pool. The buffet features an impressive spread highlighted by the crispy sisig live station and inihaw on sticks: Filipino-style pork barbecue skewers, chicken wings inasal, pork ears and mask, chicken liver and gizzard, chicken feet, dried pusit, balut chili garlic, chicken and pork longanisa and inihaw na mais.

The appetizer is a unique rendition of the must-try kinilaw — the Philippines ceviche, with choice of raw tuna, tanigue, or oysters dipped in vinegar, chilies, coconut milk, red onion, ginger, coriander, and cucumber.

For P1,999 net per person, the Filipino barbecue buffet comes with unlimited beverages consisting of sodas, chilled juices and iced tea and San Miguel Light Draft beer.
