An eight-year-old boy from San Nicolas, Pangasinan suffered from fever and headaches for over one month after a stone got into his ear.

According to a report on "24 Oras," Monday, the stone got inside when one of the boy's playmates accidentally threw it towards him.

James's stepfather earns only P400 a day as a construction worker, so they could not afford expensive medical treatment at a hospital.Dr. Zachary Venzon, medical officer of the Department of ENT-HNS at the hospital, said James's ear canal had an infection and swelling that caused his headaches and fever.

What should you do if a a foreign object or an insect enters your ear? Venzon advised the public to let it be and go to a hospital immediately to get treated by a specialist.
