Eight persons were injured in a collision involving five vehicles on Tuesday, July 11, in Barangay Calicanto here. ManilaBulletin READ:

Police identified the injured as Mark Joseph Catapang, 23, driver of a Suzuki motorcycle; Ramil Hernandez, 43, driver of a Honda tricycle; Ramel Buya, 53, driver of a Kawasaki tricycle; Jennifer Hernandez, 47; Rica Mae Hernandez, 22; Nicasia Buya, 79; and Fevilyn Buya, 46, passengers of the two tricycles, and a minor student.Initial investigation said the van driven by Edwin Atienza, 45, sideswiped the motorcycle of Catapang which hit the back of Hernandez’s tricycle.

Atienza was unhurt, according to the attending physician Dr. Leslie Gladys Yupio, but he was under the influence of liquor.
