The Philippine Institute of Volcanology and Seismology continues to record aftershocks following the magnitude 6.1 earthquake that struck Davao de Oro on Tuesday.

The Philippine Institute of Volcanology and Seismology continues to record aftershocks following theon Tuesday. As of Friday morning, the Phivolcs has recorded a total of 745 aftershocks. Of the total, 70 earthquakes were plotted but only one was felt. The strength ranged from 1.3 to 3.6 magnitude. Plotted quakes, as disclosed by the Phivolcs, are tremors detected by three or more stations. The Phivolcs said earthquakes commonly occur in Davao de Oro because of active faults in the vicinity.
