Police identified the victims as Jesus Bautista, 51, bus driver, resident of San Quintin, Pangasinan; Roy Vincent Batoon, 36, resident of Dau, Pampanga; Sherwin Tepase, 27, resident of Mandaluyong City; Lito Abella, 29, resident of Caloocan City; Perlita T. Esteban, 75, resident of Taguig City; and Mary Rose Serrano, 26, resident of Tarlac City.According to a report, the bus was traversing the southbound lane of NLEX at about 9:40 a.m.
Police Corporal Job Zalun, investigator on case, said Bautista experienced chest pains and lost control of the vehicle.the road, investigation showed. Due to the impact, the bus rebounded and crashed into a construction site of Skyway on the left side of NLEX. The injured driver and passengers had to be pulled out of the bus and were brought to the Manila Central University Hospital for medical treatment.
