Parañaque City Mayor Eric Olivarez said that 47 donors joined in the blood donation drive conducted at Ospital ng Parañaque II on Thursday, June 22. ManilaBulletin

Olivarez said the blood donation drive, themed “Alay Kong Dugo, Mula sa Puso,” was able to collect a total of 19 blood bags, which were turned over to the Las Piñas General Hospital and Satellite Trauma Center that both serve as the blood banks of Parañaque. He said the blood donation drive is a project of Ospital ng Parañaque II under Dr. Patrick Ismael Cruz in coordination with the city government, City Health Office under Dra. Olga Virtusio, and Public Health Unit under Dra. Maria Cristina Fermin-Peñaflorida.

The mayor said the success of the activity was made possible through the participation of employees from OsPar2, members from the Parañaque Police under the supervision of Col. Renato Ocampo, Civil Service Unit headed by Joey Rogacion and residents from District II. Olivarez thanked the blood donors and said the blood collected will be used by city residents who need blood transfusion during medical emergency.
