JUST IN: The aftershock occurred at a depth of 7 kilometers southeast of Tulunan town at 2:45 a.m.

MANILA—A 4.5-magnitude aftershock struck Cotabato early Wednesday, the Philippine Institute of Volcanology and Seismology .

The light tremor was an aftershock of the 6.3-magnitude earthquake that rattled southern Mindanao on Oct. 16, the agency added.Intensity 3, which may feel like the passing of a light truck and cause hanging objects to swing moderately, was recorded in Kidapawan City, Cotabato.State seismologists have recorded more than 700 aftershocks since Oct. 16 and could last for a few months.
