₱38 billion needed for mandatory ROTC program

— Making the Reserve Officers' Training Corps program mandatory for senior high school students would require an annual budget of ₱38 billion, a Senate hearing on Thursday showed.

To demonstrate how huge the amount is, he compared it to the funding for the government's free college education program, which is about ₱40 billion. Senator Richard Gordon likewise said the government should treat the mandatory program as an investment.

Uh huh? So saan na naman po tayo magka-cut ng budget? Haaaay.

Might as well that the budget intended for ROTC will be provided for free tuition for deserving Filipinos.
