POLICE have identified three persons of interest in the shooting incident that happened during a visit of presidential candidate labor leader Leody de Guzman in Bukidnon, Philippine National Police spokesperson Colonel Jean Fajardo said on Friday, April 22, 2022.She said they also confiscated various firearms from the security personnel of the property where the incident took place. Among those confiscated were eight shotguns, two 9 mm pistols, and a .38 caliber.
Fajardo said the firearms will undergo ballistic examination to determine if they were used during the shooting incident, while the personnel will undergo paraffin examination.De Guzman said the tribe was complaining about grabbing of their ancestral lands. Fajardo earlier said there has been a long-standing dispute as to who owns the land where the incident happened. The case is pending at court.
