The occupancy rate of 29 hospitals in Metro Manila are already at the critical level in terms of bed capacity as the country continues to see a rise in the coronavirus disease (COVID-19) cases.

Based on the Department of Health’s COVID-19 tracker, a critical level means that the hospital reached over 85 percent of its bed capacity dedicated for coronavirus patients. These are: Chinese General Hospital and Medical Center, E. Zarate Hospital, F.Y. Manalo Medical Foundation, Inc, FEU-Dr. Nicanor Reyes Medical Foundation Inc.

3 percentThe following hospitals are now classified as “moderate” risk after reaching a bed capacity of 60 percent but not more than 70 percent:-Amang Rodriguez Memorial Medical Center—65.2 percent-De Los Santos Medical Center—60 percent-Las Pinas Doctors Hospital, Inc.—67.6 percent-Mandaluyong City Medical Center—67.4 percentThese hospitals are under “safe” level or the healthcare utilization rate dedicated for COVID-19 patients is still below 60 percent.
