235 new Covid cases in Philippines; active cases down to 10,526

THE Department of Health reported on Tuesday, December 14, the Philippines’ lowest daily tally of new coronavirus disease cases in 18 months, at 235, due to low testing output.

These laboratories contributed on average 1.5 percent of all the samples tested and 2.6 percent of individuals who tested positive for the virus.The DOH said the 235 new cases reported Tuesday, December 14, brought the country’s total caseload to 2,836,868.About 659 of these active infections were considered asymptomatic, 4,104 were mild, 3,502 were moderate, 1,868 severe and 393 critical.

The Philippines now has a total of 2,775,991 Covid-19 recoveries, which is 97.9 percent of all confirmed infections.
