More than 200 houses were razed in a fire that hit a residential area here before dawn Saturday, Jan. 28.

MORE than 200 houses were destroyed in a fire that hit Barangays West Habog-Habog and San Juan in Molo District, Iloilo City on Saturday, January 28, 2023.

ILOILO CITY – The Iloilo City Social Welfare and Development Office said 234 houses were damaged in Barangays West Habog-Habog and San Juan in Molo District.The number may go up as authorities are still gathering data.“Ubrahon ta ang tanan para makabulig sa pag bangon sang mga apektado sa sunog ,” Treñas said.

He deployed doctors and nurses from the Iloilo City Health Office to evacuation centers to ensure the health and safety of evacuees and safe water supply and sanitation. This city was under a state of calamity last year due to high number of water-borne disease acute gastroenteritis.
