20 kilos of rotten chicken meat seized in Manila

Around 20 kilos of rotten chicken meat and 55 chicken heads were seized by the Manila Veterinary Inspection Board during meat inspections in various parts of the capital city Thursday.

The VIB made rounds in Divisoria, along Recto Avenue, and Antipolo Street in Blumentritt, Manila, to ensure the quality of meat products being sold in the city’s markets. Consumers were told to be vigilant and look for a Meat Inspection Certificate from stores before buying food for their safety. The VIB warned erring businessmen and vendors that it will continue to conduct meat inspections across the city.
