2 LPAs, ‘habagat’ to bring scattered rain showers

Two low pressure areas and the southwest monsoon or “habagat” will bring scattered rain showers over most of the country within 24 hours.

The combined effects of the LPA and the southwest monsoon may bring cloudy skies with scattered rain showers and thunderstorms over Ilocos Norte, Ilocos Sur, La Union, Pangasinan, Abra, Benguet, Ifugao, Kalinga, Mountain Province, Apayao, Batanes, Cagayan, Isabela, Nueva Vizcaya, and Quirino. The “habagat” and localized thunderstorms may also bring partly cloudy to cloudy skies with isolated rain showers over Metro Manila and the rest of the country.

PAGASA advised the public to take extra precaution in case of heavy rainfall that may occur in the afternoon or evening.
