Two crew members were injured when a fire suddenly broke out in a ship docked in Lapu Lapu City, Cebu before dawn Saturday, July 16.

The vessel, owned and operated by Trans Asia Shipping Lines Inc., was supposed to undergo repairs when the incident occured. “The eight individuals were onboard to ensure that the vessel’s equipment and materials will not be stolen,” the PCG said. Two crew members were brought to the nearest hospital for medical assistance after they sustained first degree burns.
