LUCENA CITY — Two picnickers drowned in separate incidents on Thursday in Batangas province.
The Batangas police said in a report that an unnamed young girl, together with her friends, went for a swim around 5 p.m. in a beach resort in Barangay Bagong Silang in Calatagan town.Rescuers gave her emergency first aid and rushed her to the nearest hospital, but she was declared dead on arrival.
