Peñana died on the spot due to severe body injuries, while Javier died on the way to the United Candelaria Doctors Hospital in neighboring Candelaria town. Tolentino and his back-riders Eduel Peria and Cris Mark Formalejo; Joshua Victoria and Mark Bryan Bico, pillion riders of two other motorcycles, all suffered injuries.
