Two tricycle drivers in Cavite proved their passengers are safe with them when they returned the cash left in their vehicle.

According to Jun Veneracion's report on "24 Oras," a pouch containing P30,000 was returned on Monday to its owner by Martin Rosal Jr., a tricycle driver.

“Sabi ko, ako nangangailangan, pero never kong pinasok sa isip na mag-imbot sa kapwa ko ng gamit lalo lao’t hindi sa akin o bagay na pwedeng makatulong sakin, hindi ko ginawa," he said. This is not the first time that Martin returned cash and valuables left by a passenger. Recently, he also handed to the passenger a mobile phone that was left in his tricycle.“Mangiyak-ngiyak nga sir na napayakap sa sobrang ano sakin. Masaya sir, makatulong din sa kaniya kase baka mas kailangan niya yung pera na yun kesa sa akin,” he said.

On December 2022, the organization started giving recognition and small cash rewards to tricycle drivers who have done good deeds for the public. “‘Yun po ang gusto naming mangyari na ipinapa-implement po namin na maging mabuti tayo sa ating pasahero. Tayo ang magsilbing protektor sa atin pasahero, ‘yun po, kaya po hawa-hawa na po,” said Jonathan Alberto, president of Wawa Shortcut Costa Verde Sector TODA.
