BI Spokesperson Dana Krizia Mengote-Sandoval said the 177 Chinese left at around 9:06 p.m. from the Ninoy Aquino International Airport Terminal 1 aboard Royal Air flight RW410.
“This is probably the first group who wants to go home who are already in the Philippines,” she said. Sandoval said the Chinese passengers managed to get a flight home after getting assistance from the Chinese Embassy which arranged for the chartered flight. “So they coordinated the chartered flight. They pledged to do it even before to help their citizens,” she added.She explained many Chinese nationals got stranded in the Philippines after airlines began canceling flights due to outbreak of the novel coronavirus.
