A 14-year-old girl suffering from an eye condition that affects her vision is asking for help to get a corneal transplant.
"Ito ay inborn na nagiging parang cloudy parang mapusyaw na ma-bughaw 'yung corneas," said Dr. Tonton Pascual, Ophthalmologist, Corneal and External Disease Specialist at Asian Hospital and Medical Center. Her siblings, Roildan and Rayven, also suffered from the same condition, but they got corneal transplants in 2012 and 2017 thanks to the GMA Kapuso Foundation, volunteer doctors, and the Eye Bank Foundation.She prays every day to have an operation because she experiences difficulties in studying as she can see very little light. She stays up almost to the wee hours of the morning to do so.
"Mahapdi 'yung mata, nagluluha kasi parang irritated siya sa araw. Pasok pa rin kasi ayaw niyang mag-absent," said Roslaina, Kim's mother.
