BACOLOD CITY –
ELEVEN policemen were injured after their patrol car hit a barrier and overturned in Barangay Caningay, Candoni, Negros Occidental on Monday. Injured were Patrolmen Jerome Tolentino, Joey Bana-ag, Erick Abela, Immam James Apucay, Jared King Dadivas, and Bryan Ambajan and Corporals Mark Jil Salazar, John Arevalo, Noriel Vergara, Kenneth Valiao, and Regie Tacdoro.Investigation showed that Apucay lost control of the vehicle while negotiating the descending portion of the curved road.Eleven of the 16 policemen onboard were injured and taken to a hospital, Culanag added.
Culanag said that the policemen were conducting road security and routinary inspection when the accident happened.
