The Philippines on Wednesday registered the lowest number of daily new COVID-19 cases since April 2020 with 109 new infections.

This brings the nationwide caseload to 3,687,428, according to the Department of Health’s latest data posted on its website.A total of 3,623,661 people have been counted as recoveries, while the death toll remained at 60,439.

The regions with the most number of new cases in the past two weeks were the National Capital Region with 941 infections, Region 4-A with 297, and Region 3 with 236. The DOH said 17,662 individuals were tested, with 317 testing laboratories submitting data on May 10.— Mel Matthew Doctor/BM, GMA News
