TEN local government units reputed to have the 'best' anti-hunger projects and food security policies will receive the 'Walang Gutom' award on Wednesday.The Department of Social Welfare and Development and the Galing Pook Foundation will present the awards to the winning LGUs.

'These criteria reflect the multifaceted nature of the battle against hunger,' Dumlao said, adding that the Walang Gutom Awards seek to recognize and adopt LGUs' outstanding practices in addressing food security and nutrition issues, eventually contributing to the nation's objective of eliminating involuntary hunger by 2027.
