One person reportedly died due to the effects of Typhoon Marce , the National Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Council said Sunday.The NDRRMC has not yet identified in its 8 a.m. situational report where the reported casualty came from.One individual also remained missing in the Ilocos Region. Marce also affected 261,787 people or 76,622 families in Ilocos Region, Cagayan Valley, and Cordillera Administrative Region .
The tropical cyclone also left P25,398,600 worth of damage to infrastructure in Cagayan Valley.It also totally damaged 892 houses, while 20,038 sustained partial damage.There were 29 roads and 11 bridges that were also affected and are currently not passable for motorists.No city and municipality has declared a state of calamity yet in the aftermath of Marce.So far, the NDRRMC said P16.1 million worth of assistance has been provided to affected residents.
