A PERSON died and four others were arrested over illegal drugs in a span of four days around Eastern Visayas.The arrested suspects were identified as Glegor Juegos, 36, a government employee, and Rosauro Delos Santos, 43, driver.
Confiscated from Juegos during the operation were two sachets of substance believed to be shabu worth P3,400.In Samar, police and anti-narcotics operatives arrested Carlo Dolenzo, 33, who reportedly availed himself of a plea bargain, and Bianca Branzuela, 32, a laundry hub-washer. They were nabbed in a drug bust in Calbayog City on July 27.The suspects are now temporarily detained at Calbayog City Police lock-up facility.
The suspects will be charged with violation of Section 5 and Section 11 , while Branzuela will be charged with violation of Section 26, Article II of Republic Act 9165. On July 26, police in Inopacan, Leyte also conducted a drug bust that resulted in the death of Joel Sumaylo, 45. Confiscated from Sumaylo were three sachets of shabu worth P20,040, said the Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency.
