Genevieve Chenneour, best known for her role in Bridgerton, is currently starring in a new campaign for Opuline Jewellery. This follows a year of personal challenges, including two violent attacks in London that have left her feeling unsafe and struggling with agoraphobia.

Genevieve Chenneour , known for her role in Bridgerton , has been focusing on a new project – a campaign for Opuline Jewellery . Recent Instagram posts show the 28-year-old actress in a glamorous photoshoot, showcasing her in stockings and suspenders.

This comes after a difficult year for Chenneour, marked by two separate incidents of violence in London. In February of the previous year, she bravely confronted a mobile phone thief, Zacariah Boulares, at a Joe & The Juice cafe, resulting in a concussion for Chenneour and a 22-month sentence for Boulares. A second suspect in that incident was investigated but not charged. The experience left Chenneour feeling unsafe in London, prompting her to move back in with her mother.

She described feeling 'severely agoraphobic' and struggling with the psychological aftermath, including panic attacks and a fear of public transport. More recently, in November, Chenneour was physically assaulted near Oxford Circus just minutes before an audition, an event she shared in a tearful video on Instagram. She described being targeted and hit by a man, triggering further panic and anxiety.

Despite her extensive sporting background, including qualifications in Olympic swimming and Amateur Boxing, these incidents have significantly impacted her sense of security. Chenneour has expressed a desire to regain her confidence and potentially return to living in London, but the recent attacks have made that challenging. She is currently relying on hotels when work requires her to be in the capital.

The actress’s experiences highlight a concerning rise in crime in London, with overall crime increasing by nearly a third over the past decade. Her openness about her struggles aims to raise awareness about the impact of violence and the challenges faced by individuals in urban environments
