SANDUSKY, Ohio - Sandusky City Schools cut ties with a former football coach after he was arrested and criminally charged Thursday. The letter said coach Nicanor Lopez was arrested and criminally charged, but it did not specify the charges.
According to the administration, Lopez worked with the middle school for one season and assisted high school quarterbacks. Since the announcement, Lopez is no longer a part of the coaching staff and is prohibited from attending district activities.
