The Zamfara State House of Assembly has resumed its plenary and other legislative engagements after spending over a month on recess.
The Nasiru Mu’azu Magarya-led sixth assembly officially opened for the third year fourth quarter 2021/2022 legislative and engagement sessions that will last for five months, which is in line with the provision of section 92 of the 1999 constitution as amended. In his new year commitment and resolution to the House, the speaker assured the state of a ruburst plenary and credible legislations that would be centered on improving security situation and rejuvenating the economy of the state through qualitative law-making.
While symphazing with the people of Anka and Bukkuyum Local Government Areas over the recent attacks in some villages there, the state chief lawmaker also applauded the efforts of security agencies and some gallant vigilante groups for repelling Mareri attacks and successfully rescuing the victims. According to him, with this recent development of resumption from recess, members are in high spirits to work and legislate on issues that will bring uncommon development to the state.
