Youth groups have warned against the alleged plot to stop the inauguration of President-elect Bola Tinubu and Vice President-elect Kashim Shettima.
Yusuf Datti Baba-Ahmed, vice presidential candidate of the Labour Party, LP, said the May 29 swearing-in would be a“We cannot have a President-elect when there has been a constitutional breach…swearing in Tinubu is as good as swearing in a military regime,” Datti Baba-Ahmed stated. Tinubu Shettima Movement Coordinator, Adetokunbo Adesina accused a cross-section of Nigerians of engaging in religious and ethnic bias.
Lekan Bilyamin, Lagos Chairman, National Youth Council of Nigeria, NYCN, said Tinubu enjoys the support of the young people because “he’s a talent hunter”.
