The 2023 Lagos Street Soccer Championship promises a season of good football and scouting opportunity for football clubs, agents and national youth team coaches looking for fresh talents from the grassroots, the organisers have said.

Yusuf said the teams in the event were drawn from the 57 councils and LCDAs in Lagos State, adding: “The opening ceremony of the championship will give spectators a preview of what to expect in the coming weeks. The 2023 Lagos Street Soccer Championship promises a season of good football and scouting opportunity for football clubs, agents and national youth team coaches looking for fresh talents from the grassroots, the organisers have said.Organisers of the 10th Awa Ibraheem Junior Golf Championship have cleared 110 players to participate in the competition, which begins today at the Ikeja Golf Club, Lagos.

Super Eagles former captain, Uche Okechukwu and Enyimba’s striker in the CAF Champions League winning teams of 2003 and 2004, Emeka Nwanna, are among members of the newly constituted executive boards of Enyimba and Abia Warriors respectively.
